A Tribute

Our family has had to part ways with a loving member: THE Nissan 240sx. She was sold yesterday. This car is 15 years old and is still going strong. If only this car could talk! It all started out when Julie was 18 or 19: THE car was purchased. Julie and Troy had named it at one time. I believe it was Shanaynay. Then THE car was given to me when I turned 16. When I moved to college, I had to leave THE car behind; however, she was not forgotten. Oh yes, Benny has driven THE car, Debra has driven THE car, Scott has driven THE car and we'll never forget the ones who had the pleasure of riding in THE car. (Shoutouts to Mandy, Starla, Amy, Jaclyn, and many others) This car has made many trips including the one that Jaclyn and I took to Tuscaloosa when I was sixteen. Needless to say we didn't get away with that one! We thought we'd never get caught! I drove THE car to the beach when Scott and I met. This car has been spun around and put through a fence, courtesy of me, and it's still going strong! I'm telling you, THE car is amazing. So what if there's a big crack in the front, a speedometer that doesn't work, an odometer that doesn't work and windshield wipers that come on when you turn on the headlights, it's still the best! Not to mention the kickin' speakers Troy bought for her when the other ones went out! We were jammin'! She will never be forgotten...(side note: this pic is not the original. Pretty close though. Imagine a crack in the front and fading paint!) ;)

I have to brag...

I really do think I have a special talent. So far, I am 7 for 7 in picking out the correct sex of babies! It all started six years ago when Julie found out she was pregnant with Koby. From the beginning I said he was a boy even when everyone else said he was "Abby". But a month before he was born we found out otherwise! I was also right at predicting Maci and Kole. Then I've predicted the last two of Jenny's correctly, even the latest which we just found out today is a boy! Yay! Then there's my friend Brittany who I said was having a girl even when the doctor said boy. Guess what?! She had a girl! Then my friend Liz just found out she's having a girl too, which I predicted. What can I say...I've found my talent. Now, like I said before, I'm predicting boy for Chad and Teale. We'll see! Maybe I should start charging....

Birthday!

I celebrated my 26th birthday last Tuesday. I am now on the downward slope to 30. Where does the time go? I had a great birthday. Friday night before my birthday, some friends and I went to eat at Jalapeno's and then bowling. I hadn't been bowling since my 15th birthday! I guess I'm just a natural 'cause I won both games!! ha ha. We had a great time. They brought me a chocolate birthday cake and got a picture from Kirkland's I've been wanting. Scott got me a new digital camera. Well, I guess I'm gonna have to share it with him since I dropped his in a cup of Dr. Pepper the day we were leaving for Mobile. Which brings another story! A childhood friend of Scott's got married in Mobile the first weekend of March. Scott was in the wedding so we had to get down there early for the rehearsal. This wedding was unreal. The rehearsal dinner was great with all kinds of seafood. Then Saturday we went to this HUGE house in Mobile for a "luncheon". Then of course the wedding and reception were that night. To end this great weekend which started with the Dr. Pepper incident, Scott lost his tux jacket which contained his brand new cell phone and Costa Del Mar sunglasses. We searched all day Sunday at the reception site and couldn't find it. We're talking about $300 worth of merchandise, plus the price of the ruined camera!! Oh well, it never turned up. So, to get back to my birthday...Scott got me the awesome camera that I've been wanting and we went to eat at Depalma's in Tuscaloosa. DePalma's is this awesome Italian restaurant in downtown. We never go there and I don't know why! I'll finally be able to take pictures again! I also found out that Chad and Teale are expecting again! ( So happy for yall!) And that my friend Liz is going to have a girl! I knew it!!Right now I am 6 for 6!! I'm really thinking "boy" for Chad and Teale, so we'll see!!
Speaking of time flying by, Scott and I will be celebrating our 1st anniversary in a month! I can't believe it. We've decided that instead of taking a trip on our anniversary, we're gonna plan a trip to New York sometime in July!!!! I'm so excited!!!! I've wanted to go there for sooo long. I got Scott on board by promising a tour of Yankee Stadium and a game. We are so pumped! As for now, I'm gonna get busy taking some new pics to put on here!
